Life is full of adventures and good times, but there are also times in life when things get hard and life is complicated. I want to hear about both sides from my clients and encourage them to meet their goals, as well as be a pillar of support when life is challenging. Sometimes the first step to wellness is reaching out and asking for help and slowly working towards a goal of coping strategies for mental and emotional well-being.
I am determined to build a healthy therapeutic relationship with all of my clients to provide tools and support for their journey. I will always do my best to be empathic, understanding, and accepting of all of those that come to me and create a space that is welcoming and safe.
I am the biggest advocate for self-care and making ourselves a priority — if we continue to put ourselves on the back burner, we cannot see what needs are not being met and how to best care for ourselves. I want my clients to take this time for themselves and know it is all about them: they will not have to worry or stress about being judged or someone taking over their experience.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Victim Studies with a minor in Human Services at Sam Houston State University in Texas. I am currently earning a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Nevada Las Vegas and expect to graduate in 2023. Growing up in Texas has shown me to be kind and accepting of all individuals and to spread joy and kindness. I believe in mistakes and learning from them and know we are all human and not perfect, but we can be unique and shape who we want to be in this life. Life is about growth and I want to support each of my clients to grow and become the person they want to be.
