Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors, or LCPCs/CPCs, can work with individuals, couples, families, and groups to address a variety of mental health issues their clients may be facing. They are able to diagnose, provide treatment plans, and apply appropriate and research-backed therapeutic treatments, support and guidance to clients specifically addressing their unique needs. They work at the graduate student, state intern and fully licensed levels.
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, or LMFTs/MFTs, work with individuals, couples, families, and groups and specialize in systems theory, a more relational/relationship-oriented approach to addressing mental health care. They address a variety of mental health issues their clients may be facing. They are able to diagnose, provide treatment plans, and apply appropriate and research-backed therapeutic treatments, support and guidance to clients specifically addressing their unique needs. They work at the graduate student, state intern and fully licensed levels.
Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselors, or LCADCs, work with individuals, couples, families and groups to address mental health issues, specializing in support and therapy practices specifically geared toward supporting those impacted by substance abuse and addiction as well as their recovery. They work at the graduate student, state intern and fully licensed levels.
Licensed Clinical Social Workers, or LCSWs, work with individuals, couples, families and groups and can each specialize in one or more areas of mental health care. They work at the graduate student, state intern and fully licensed levels.
Each therapist will always bring their own unique approach to therapy and may specialize in certain approaches or focus areas from across different fields and therapeutic practices.
